If You Give a Mom a Romper
This is what happens when you go shopping with a young and hip chick.
Fellow parents will likely be able to relate: it’s been a long time since I’ve shopped without a toddler in tow. And while my boys are sweet and frequently flatter me with, “you are beautiful, Mommy” in the dressing room, for some reason, trying on clothes with a toddler who has a hanger in his shirt and is pretending to be a superhero isn’t super relaxing.
Even if on the rare occasion I was alone and shopping, never in a million years would I have tried on this romper. And honestly, if my young and hip friend hadn’t been with me to reassure me that it did look as good as I thought it might, I definitely wouldn’t have bought it. There is something about shopping with someone who is young and “with-it” that just boosts your daring-ness a bit; you agree?
This romper, and these photos, make me proud! It has been a long journey to my current fitness level. And while I am far from perfect, I can look at these photos and feel proud of how far I have come, both mentally and physically. This BCBG romper is tailored perfectly and is made with thick enough fabric that it hugs the curves without clinging to those beloved dimples and dips. I love how the high neck gives a more modest appearance from the front. I paired this with a blazer for a conservative church wedding, and then did the big reveal (ha!) at a more diva-licious wedding later that day. What crazy things has your hip friend convinced you to buy?
