About Me

Hi! I’m Mollie. I’m a working mom of three sweet and crazy boys. My husband is the love of my life and is constantly trying to keep me balanced and in check. We are a mixed family, and as an idealist white woman, each day I learn another way that this is both beautiful and complicated. We have three kids, two dogs, two homes, two cars, manage properties, work full-time jobs, work side hustles, and try day-in and day-out to do what’s best for our family.

I list all these details in hopes that it will sound like your life in some way or another. I list these details to illustrate that my life, like yours, is very full. Yes, it is rich and filled to the brim with love, but most days feel over-full. Most days my life feels overwhelming, overstimulating, and like I’ll never be able to catch up enough to enjoy it.

Goodness – even when I re-read that last sentence, I see so clearly that it is up to me to shift this perspective. To shift it from one of overwhelm to one of appreciation. I am a glass-half-empty-type intentionally shifting to see it as half-full.

So let me start by saying that this blog is not about having answers. Really – I am one that has tons of questions! I am a seeker, a constant learner, a person who is always thinking and over analyzing; and a person who tries and continues to try lots of different techniques for finding more enjoyment out of life…

And so I write this blog with the intention of savoring and appreciating life, even when it feels so full and difficult. I write as a vehicle for dwelling fully in the tough and the beautiful; for attending intentionally in each moment, and intending to see in each moment the goodness that is present.  I write to publicly state: I intend to savor this life! I intend to savor the journey with all the ups and downs. I intend to relish in the joys and love through the trials. And knowing full well that there are millions of others out there just like me, I hope I will find a few who will journey with me. Cheers.
